Music Play Lists

[ Edited ]

My mom is ALWAYS my road trip pal.  Whenever we take any kind of longer trip I make us a play list of music I know she likes.❤️

This last trip to Nashville, we had an ALL 70s DAY!

Here's just a few we listened to:

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

Kenny Rogers

Gordon Lightfoot

Waylon & Willie

Dr. Hook

Eagles

Eric Clapton

Bob Segar

Heart

Peter Frampton

The Doobie Brothers

Do you have a Play List, Era, Favorite Artists or Songs you LOVE ❤️ to play on a Trip?  I LOVE ideas!

Fleetwood Mac

Billy Joel

Elton John

Motown selections

& others that I can't think of at the moment.  LOL

Lol, I nearly listed many of those on your list too!  Those are all EXCELLENT Selections and on our list!❤️

There are so many songs I can't remember the name of or who sings it, I know I'm missing some I really LOVE!

Theres a Motown singer we both LOVE named Joe Tex.  He sings a song called "Buying a Book" that's one of our Favorites!  Then again, we love all Motown!

We went on a trip overseas last week and had to travel an hour and half to get tot he airport.  We listened to Greta Van Fleet on the ride there.  You may not be familiar with this rock band but their lead singer has been compared to Robert Plant. He has an incredible high range.  They were nominated for a grammy for best rock album this year.

Sometimes when headed to Nashville especially, we'll only listen to country just because it seems fitting lol.

However, we both LOVE ALL sorts of music and the warmer it gets for some reason, the more I want 70s rock!  We both do!  It just reminds me of Summertime!

I found a song I hadn't heard in ages that I LOVE ❤️ called Sweet City Woman by the Stampeders.  I'd have never located this on my own lol.

I'm so glad you posted this!  I love ❤️ finding new bands I've never heard and even old songs I've forgotten.

@cheriere - Yes, I absolutely have a playlist! Multiple ones actually! 😆 I have Amazon Music and categorize my playlists by genre. The 70’s is the only one liked by both my DH and me. Other than that, we have our own playlists. Mine are labeled by:
Pop music
Rock & Roll
80’s (my fav)
Relaxing
Disco
Hip Hop
I have a few country songs I like (but not many) lumped in with one of those categories too.

@Natureluvr

Lol, your Play Lists look like mine!  Well, for my part.  I also make lots for mom too.  If she's on the trip, I only play what I know she loves.

I love 80s music too.💝🌸
