@cheriere you need to add some Foreigner, Boston, Wild Cherry and not to mention Rod Stewart.  The '70's were the decade.

I like many genres & it depends on my mood & what I’m doing at the time. I did ballroom dancing for many years and love Latin music so I have my favs like Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony & Elvis Crespo. When I exercise, Freddie Mercury greatest hits, Oldies, show tunes & have mixes of assorted artists soft rock to heavy metal favorites. Right now I’m listening to Dolly Pardon’s Rock Star album. I also enjoy music from countries I’ve visited. When I’m quiet or trying to sleep Andre Rieu & Gregorian, chants to pop or rock tunes.

I often stream from Amazon music so favorites are listed. Today when I exercise I’ll listen to Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter. I heard her rendition of Jolene & liked it & so did Dolly.

Re: Music Play Lists

[ Edited ]

we all think our decade was THE decade right? Haha. Ok for my oldies I prefer the fifties & sixties. I liked seventies music up until about 1974. The disco years ruined rock n roll. With the exception of The Bee Gees Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.
my fave Spotify playlist for oldies is one that I curated that I call Early Rock and Roll. 1950's and early 1960s including do wop hits from the Platters, Flamingos, as well as some Elvis, Bill Haley, Chuck Berry. Dion, Del Shannon, Bobby Day, Joey Dee and the Starlighters, Buddy Holly, the Drifters, Everly Brothers, many more. This gets me revved up on road trips

DITTO!

I just finished listening to the entire whipped cream album by Herb Albert. My parents used to play this. Did anyone else have it? Currently listening to Three Little Birds by Bob Marley, sung by a local country artist, Kacey Musgraves

I love a wide array of music too.😊. I like selecting a genre based on how I feel or what I'm doing.  Freddie Mercury sounds perfect for exercising!  I should include a lot more Queen on my lists.

I have yet to hear Beyoncés version of Jolene in it's entirety, but I think I'd like it too.

Im so glad you shared some of your favorites with me.  Thank you.💝🌸

@smoochy

I love most of the artists you mentioned here, but I can never remember to start a 50s playlist.  I need to remedy this bigtime too!  I copied your post so I can search for songs in the Apple Store.

Technically, the 90s would've been my teen early 20s decade of music.  I have a monster playlist of those.  However, I've always enjoyed music from all genres.  My mom and her sisters used to play a lot of 70s when I was young, so I guess a lot of those sounds just stuck lol.

 Thanks so much for including these.💝🌸
