We are in AZ, and it's been hot!  Today is our volunteer day, so DH decided to do curry chicken in the crockpot, and have dinner ready when we got home.  So, today of all days, the power went out.  Don't know for how long, since we weren't home,  but we assume for a long time, as the crockpot was not hot to the touch and no simmering of the sauce !  Ugh!  Of course everything got tossed.  Ugh!

Dinner out, just don't know where yet.

I sure hope you get your power back soon. It's too hot 🥵 for you to be w/o air condition.

Ours went out for a couple of hours in the Peoria area last Saturday. Fortunately it was in the morning. Seems they were doing some digging and the guys cut the power to our internet and electricity. SRP did a good job in getting the power on in less than 2 hours.

@OKPrincess   Power was back on when we got home, but have no way of knowing how long it was out, so didn't want to chance it with the chicken.  I

What they have to invent now is a cooker that is capable of being recharged.  Yes, it would be expensive at first.  Our cottage is in a location with the most backward electric service in the world.  This might come in handy.  Also, it would be great for campers that are totally off the grid.
