Police in Albuquerque have announced that they have worked with the FBI to arrest a primary suspect, 51-year-old Muhammad Syed, in the murders of at least two Muslim men in the area.

According to authorities, Syed was arrested after police identified his car as having been at the scenes of the crimes and found the gun used in both those killings in Syed’s home. So far, he is being charged for two of the homicides, though he has not yet appeared in court.

MezzieStarr, I appreciate your additional and vital information.

How unfortunate it will be if this is a matter of Muslim inter-sect fighting and revenge.  I'm not getting into the fervor with which some people defend (and insist on) their particular sect, but this is a very sad turn of events.

What has unbridled rage wrought?

Thank you, Kachina.  If the suspected motive for the killings is true, I am saddened that so many lives have been destroyed because of one individual's misguided religious fervor.

 Yea , what I read in the news he had a muslim 1st and last name .

  It might turn out  the shooter had a beef with the 4 men

  Remember the  Muslim Father murder case  who shot and killed both his daughters in his taxi

  On so many different issues in life, thinking the enemy is a stranger "outside the tent" might make us feel safer, but it also keeps us from  carefully  assessing those we are closest to.
