This is such a tragic story. It was on our local news and the man's sister was crying. She had helped to raise him and she was so upset......I felt so bad for her.

This happened at 3 am. A 10 year old and 14 year old out at 3 am. I think that tells you all you need to know about their parents (if there are 2 parents at home) And it tells you all you need to know about their parenting "skills". The fact these 2 were on the street at 3 am and commited cold blooded murder says all you need to know about the 2 of them. Regardless of any "horrors" they may have seen at home, these two are most likely not going to change but rather wind up with more future contributions to a rap sheet. They will not get any significant punishment and will most certainly be out on the street again in no time. Sadly we have almost become numb to violent crime like this and with very little actual punishment that fits the crime anymore. This is disgusting and happening more frequently. It will be interesting to see what the charges are and the outcome of any trial.

Their defense will probably be that they are too young to know what they were doing. Bull. Hope they are tried as adults. It's like there is a bunch of wild animals roaming the streets anymore, but I think wild animals don't kill" just because".

This disgusts me. I have very little hope for our future and am filled with sadness knowing the kind of world my 9 year old grandson is growing up in.

My sympathy for the family. This man didn't deserve this. He was walking home and 7 hoodlums attacked him from behind using street cones. Disgraceful!!!!! Guns, gangs, drugs.......from the news they are taking over the city.

The 2 brothers who turned themselves in (all of them are seen on video) are 10 and 14!!! What were they doing roaming the streets at 2:30AM?????? The lawyer representing the 10 year old was asked why the boys were out at that time. Her answer...don't you remember sneaking out as a kid. Unreal!!!

Sadly, they'll all probably get off with a slap on the wrist. Which is exactly why murders, etc are rising......NO deterrent.

yeah, just get sent to juvie be out on the streets by week end.

I sure wouldn't be walking any streets after dark. I think I saw a girl in the video ,also, she was as mean as a snake.

@elated. This is the culture we're living in. There is no respect for anyone or anything. Gangs run the streets and killing someone is part of the initiation in most cases. Watching the news has become sickening.

I fear what kind d of world my grandchildren will have to deal with.
