@JoyFilled Warrior  No I don't have a "more apt phrase" for you.  Edit, don't edit .... whatever you like.

The body of Gloria Satterfield, longtime housekeeper for disgraced South Carolina lawyer Alex Murdaugh, will be exhumed.

An autopsy was never performed, and, they listed the death as natural.

She was found at the bottom of the stairs and died from her injuries. Hmmm....

I was THRILLED to learn the family decided to exhume her body. Accidental deaths (if one believes that) are supposed to be autopsied. ANOTHER thing that family got away with because of "who they were."

I have read and heard it was Paul, not Alex who pushed her down her down the stairs/steps. Who knows, but my money says it was one of them.

Hopefully the autopsy will reveal it wasn't an entanglement with a dog ,which is what Tony Satterfield said he was told when he testfied.

Oh please.

I'm referring to Murdaugh and only Murdaugh.

NOT everyone and thier brother and uncle who are in prison.

The nurse at the hospital said Gloria never mentioned the dog or getting entangled in the leash as why she fell. Autopsies must be performed on unwitnessed deaths. Alex had a huge multimillion dollar life insurance on her. Who does that for a domestic employee unless it's to cause her death so he can collect the money? He gave the family 3.4 million and kept the huge other amount, multimillions,  for himself. The last version I saw this morning on the news was that she fell down the front steps of the house. It was not a long fall...but she died so maybe it was due to hitting her head. I would want to see what the cause of death was on the death certificate, for starters. She never mentioned the dogs, etc to the paramedics who arrived...only Alex said she had fallen die to the dog's leash. I am glad the family is demanding justice for their mother.

Stephen Smith seemed to have been a studious nursing student, friend of Buster, and openly gay.

The locals initially stated his death was a hit and run. His vehicLe was located 3 miles down the road and the gas cap was open. His last phone call had been to Buster.

A state trooper, not under the Murdaugh's Sphere of Influence pushed for it not to be ruled a hit and run citing none of the classic signs were present. No vehicle debris, victim still wearing loose fitting shoes, injuries inconsistent with vehicle contact, victim with defensive wounds and appearence the body was posed on the roadway.

Yes, I agree that's the way he was portrayed on the show I watched.  Out and proud  as they say.  And it did seem like Buster Murdaugh's name was mentioned to have something to do with it.

Their names fascinated me.  Is Buster his real name,or a nick name? I know in the South they give some pet names for their kids.  I guess there was a Buba somewhere in there.....

@songbird,  Buster’s full name is Richard Alex Murdaugh.

I thought the judge was outstanding, and, Murdaugh got exactly what he deserves for the double murders.

Yes @meallen616 the judge was exceptional and an aspirational example for others.

I've read today that a juror said it was the video from the phone that convinced that Murdaugh was "big liar."

@JaneMarple

That phone video, with his voice in the background, taken moments before those brutal murders happened, convinced me of his guilt - compounded by all of his overwhelmingly heartless never-ending lies.
