Re: Mrs. Prindables Apples at Costco

@Malcontent - I was watching ITKWD.  It was about a 15-minute presentation and I watched that and a while afterwards.

If it was at a different time (or different show), I wouldn't know what it could've been.

I've had these apples in the past and I never had a bad one, even after sitting in my fridge for 3 weeks.  But it's a natural, perishable item, so who knows?

Re: Mrs. Prindables Apples at Costco

I missed this TSV.. However, last year I purchased some with a December delivery. They were very good. The sweet balances out the tart.

I gave most away to Co-Workers, who had nothing but good comments to make on the taste of the treats,  One, took them home to cut up for his young foster kids, and he said they gobbled them up.

Re: Mrs. Prindables Apples at Costco

After years of disapointment from Mrs. Prindables, I decided to make my own. I have been doing it for the past 5 years. I get to choose my favorite apples & the toppings. So less expensive, apples taste fresh and no sprinkles or hard candy. And its not difficult to do. I get the sticks & bags at my local Walmart.

I rarely eat a raw apple, but if I did, I'd want it to be a tart apple.  I also don't like the texture of the reds, kinda mealy to me.

Do you really need all that candy on an apple to eat it? What's wrong with a good plain apple?
