I think the spinning avatars like @SaveTheTurtles can be a problem for some for different reasons.

Maybe @SaveTheTurtles can go back to the non spinning avatar?

These moving avatars are called gifs.  they have movement whereas jpegs don't.

I don't have a problem with them either. I'm surprised others do. Hope nobody has a problem with my Christmas globe.

It's a problem for me and causes me to have a health issue. I do not think they should be allowed, but since they are, I try very hard to ignore posters who use them. When one poster asked what people thought, I shared my health concerns and that poster enlarged her image as a reply. Rude, unthoughtful and in my case caused a problem. She did it with harmful intentions and she succeeded in causing an issue.  Bully tactic. 

Edited to add...I also have issues with flickering light, including sunlight thru trees. I have had to pull over while driving because of what those flickers do to my equilibrium.
