I'm getting such good ideas from all these answers!
One I love and have watched over and over, but can't find anymore, that I didn't see mentioned is:
"Truly, Madly, Deeply" Love this movie, keeps you going until the end, and I have a good cry over it every time.
"Benny and Joon" - also one of my favorites
"Rat Race" - good for a laugh
"It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" - love Ethel Merman

@lmt LOVED Trouble With Angles. Always want to be Susan St. James. She was good in McMillin and Wife and The Name of the Game. Sorry to get off topic.
@panda1234 I love Susan Saint James too, but she wasn't in The Trouble With Angels; she was in the sequel, Where Angels Go Trouble Follows. The sequel wasn't quite as good as the original, but I still liked it.
I love McMillan & Wife, still watch it every Saturday on COZI TV. Loved her in Kate & Allie - I wish they would start airing that show again.

1. The Thrill of it All...nonstop laughter. True comedic relief.
2. Airport...Don't we all wish we could be as clever as Helen Hayes???
3. Guess Who's Coming to Dinner...just for Kathryn telling "Hilary" off, but sadly not much has changed in our country, we will always have bigotry against color and land of origin, very sad.

I love many film genres, but my favorite is movies that make me think. In that vein, Jacob's Ladder has stayed with me since I first viewed it.

Nothing current, that is for sure, I think movies now are just rehashed ideas. I love anything with Barbara Stanwyck, William Powell, Jean Harlow, Lionel Barrymore, Humphrey Bogart, Jean Arthur, Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney, Joan Crawford and Kay Francis and Bette Davis. That was when movies were great!
