Re: Movies We Love and Can Watch Over, and Over and Over Again!

My Blue Heaven with Steve Martin - really funny

Shirley Valentine - love this lady and Greece

Out of Africa - so romantic

3:10 to Yuma - love me a Western

Wyatt Earp - with Brad Pitt think this is the title but Brad utters the phrase I’ll be your little huckleberry!

sorry to ramble.

@dulwich- it's such a shame that not more people know about Shirley Valentine. Every middle-aged woman should watch it at least once. I can't tell you how many times I've seen it. The best!

I will add a few more of my very favorites:

Dirty Dancing

Grease

Fatso

The Birdcage

The Graduate

*Ben-Hur

*Dark Victory

*Casablanca - “If you knew how much I loved you. How much I still love you”... Squee!

*Planet of the Apes - Priceless moment when they realize Taylor (Charlton Heston) is intelligent

*The Godfather - Oh, Michael, Michael, Michael (Al Pacino)

*Beverly Hills Cop

*Falling in Love - Sunlit adultery

*Move Over Darling - Adorable Doris Day and James Garner

*The Net - Sandra Bullock in danger and thinking fast on her feet

*Soap Dish - Hilarious soap opera sendup

@ Montana- surprisingly, Falling in Love was not a popular movie, considering it starred Meryl Streep and Robert DeNiro. It's one of my favorite movies as well, and I have watched it over and over and over. Good choice!

One movie I forgot.

Born Yesterday.  I loved Judy Holiday on that movie.  After I watched it for the umpteenth time. i started watching her as if she was the only one one screen.  I loved her reactions, facial expressions, and omg...that voice.  She was less stylized than other actresses of that era.  A little more natural

I am definitely in the minority here.  I have never seen a movie twice.  I do not re-read books either.  There is always so many new ones I want to see or read..
