yes. He's under indictment for contempt of court. Lots of shenanigans including using taxpayer money for his own purposes involved. It's going to be difficult for him to get out of this one!

Our Arizona home is in Pinal County. We are right next to Maricopa County. Arizonians love Sheriff Joe but more like our Sheriff, Paul Babeau much better. He is more low key yet, does such an efficient job and runs the dept. well.

Having properties in both Illinois and Az., I can tell you there is no comparison in the prices of gas and property taxes. Az. has it beat all to heck. We have a 2100 sq. foot home on 1/3 of an acre and pay $2500.00 yearly. We pay nearly that much for a condo in a suburb of Chicago that is 1375 sq. feet. Our sales tax in Cook County is 9.75% and 1/1/16 it is going up to 10% which is the highest in the nation. Az. sales tax varies and is no bargain but with the lower property taxes, it's a better deal.

If he's so law-abiding, why is he under indictment for contempt? I'd say he plays pretty loose and free with the law which he interprets to suit himself.
