Earlier this week this photo was posted by one of the tourist sites.  There was a heavy frost on the road to the ski run. Notice the pine needles lining the roadway. Those are our fall leaves.  Every house has a pile to be picked up by the village trucks.

Today winter took the mountain at the top of that road. It has been cloudy, snowing up there, and we could not see it. I took this photo from my front porch a few minutes ago. It looks like winter won!

Looks like Ponderosa pines.They really shed a bunch when they do....grass killers, too.

Where are you? We're only a step behind; I'm at 6500ft in NE Arizona and its snowing at 8000ft  plus.

@patbz  I am in Southern New Mexico in the Lincoln National Forest. The mountain in the photo is almost 12,000 ft. It is about 4,000 feet higher than the mountain where my house is located. It did not snow at my house. I am seeing cars this morning with some snow on them. They are coming into town from higher elevations.

The Sandias outside of Albuquerque were covered yesterday morning from about 8,000ft up.  Ski area at Santa Fe is opening Thanksgiving Day.

We see pine needles on side of roads,and  pine cones all the time here in Maine,smells good to.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.
