Re: Mothers Day Is Not Happy For Everyone💝

My mother has only passed on in physical body.  Memories of her teachings, spirit, and comforting countenance warm my heart everyday.  My remembrance of her makes me smile  Thanks Mom..

Excellent post! Our moms want us to be happy so I wish people would give themselves 10 minutes to grieve then spend the rest of the day being grateful for the positives. It's a much healthier way to spend the day.

Thank you so much for your post.  My mother is passed and my only daughter just passed on April 2nd at 48 years old.  It is a sad day for me but your post helps others understand that it is not happy for everyone.  Thank you for helping make other understand.

@udc I am so very sorry for the loss of your daughter. There are never enough words to express the pain of losing a child.

@SandySparkles Thank you for always seeing the other side.

Thinking compassionately is one thing; actually putting compassion into action is quite a different path.

Hence my siggie. Easy to say, sometimes difficult to accomplish.

May everyone take some comfort in knowing each of you are not alone.

Be well.💐

I am the oldest of 7 siblings. I am not a mother due to health issues. I am an aunt to 12 on my side and 4 on my husband's side.

I was there as the 2nd "mom" to some of my nieces and nephews as their parents needed help at times.

I lost my mother just short of 4 yrs. She was born to be a Mom--from what my father always stated. She loved her family that she would do anything for them and she did in some instances.

While today is sad in some ways --because my mother is not here. But I know she is looking down from Heaven and hopefully proud of the family that she and my dad created. I would love to have her here at this time because of some health issues that popped up. It was always great to have a mom who had been a nurse and wanted to help us thru lifes hurdles.

Re: Mothers Day Is Not Happy For Everyone💝

MY mom was a great mom, but she was over protective. A few years ago I read a quote that essentially said that over protective mothers were under protected as children. This made sense considering mom's childhood.
