Catholics have a new saint; that is far from "the world".  I'm happy for them but I don't believe in the concept of saints.

I thought she was already "Sainted".  I also thought Gene Wilder was already gone too.  Gotta pay more attention.

The correct word is canonized.

Gene Wilder did pass away last week.

Not sure about the relevance of this to the thread, but hope the info helps.

Yes,I feel it is a Blessing.I thank God for the opportuniy to have known her. I am finding it overwhelming to think I worked with and loved her.It is taking a lot of thought  on my part  to accept this Holy Blessing.

What is the meaning of this gift to me? Inside I feel somehow, maybe I need to improve myself to be worthy of such a gift. Not meaning to be overly spiritual but I am feeling very humbled by this, blessing.

Do you think I am over thinking it all ?

I am not Catholic but I still think it is wonderful that she was canonized.  I have such tremendous respect for her and everything she did. What a treasure she was.

And @Maltese Momma  I do indeed think you were blessed to have those experiences with her.

I'm not Catholic so I don't pretend to understand why all good people can't be saints! Hoe er, she truly did good works and I'm happy to hear good news in a world that badly needs more saints!🙏😇

Catholics celebrate all unnamed saintson All Saints Day-a holy day of obligation for all living Catholics to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

I love to think that my Scottish 'Nana' is one of those unnamed saints. The worst thing she ever had to say about anyone was that they were a Democrat, lol.

Re: Mother Teresa is Now Officially Saint Teresa

I didn't realize there are actually people in the world that DON'T think Mother Theresa was a wonderful person.  She was pretty much the poster child for how a good Christian should be.
