Her code name with the Secret Service was 'Rainbow'.
This rainbow appeared over a golf course that her husband frequented.

Just enjoyed her Reagan Red. Quite a gal she was.

And the storm was supposed to last at least all morning but cleared up right after she passed away.

Nancy Reagan was a class act who ferociously protected her husband and his legacy as he descended into Alzheimer's dementia. I hope she heard of the news this week that a cure? for the disease that took her husband might be 5-10 years away. That was a favorite cause of Mrs. Reagan.

We're dealing with the two storms this weekend, but actually we have been having fun together!
I have lanterns and flameless candles from QVC all around the house, and planned ahead for food that doesn't have to be cooked or heated if necessary.
We're hunkered down and resting
I hope all is well with you

I didn't realize you were in northern CA, but it sounds like you're prepared!
I'm on an island off the coast of GA, so we deal with tropical storms and hurricanes and being prepared is the key!
Stay safe and hopefully you won't need to light up those flameless candles!

Beautiful picture, IG!
I admire her fierce advocacy for Alzheimer's treatments, as my father's early onset Alzheimers was so very difficult.
Advocacy by high-profile people really does make a difference. Back in the 1990s when my Dad was at his sickest, people usually wouldn't even mention Alzheimers...until Pres. Reagan became ill with it and Nancy Reagan got vocal.

Beautiful picture. I admired her advocacy for Alzheimer's also.
