Gosh, I remember Montgomery Wards, my girlfriend and I got our ears pierced in the Jewelry dept back in the day, such fun times.

So funny reading this.. I used to be an Accessories buyer for Montgomery Wards! The office was located on Seventh Avenue in NYC. Those were the days. Long time ago. lol

That is the same one I was talking about.  The pick up warehouse was in the back building.

I remember that they had a catalog sort of like Sears.  The internet sure beats a catalog!  Lucky to have it!

There's an old abandoned Montgomery Ward store building in our area that has been fenced and empty for ages .... I noticed last week they are knocking it down. 

 

I wonder what they'll do with the property.   I doubt it'll be another B&M store.
