I don't know how they will handle it when Hillary is on the View during the campaign and Monica is there... That would be worth the price of admission. ha! Looks for it during ""sweeps month"".

So I'm curious. What do you think of when you look at Bill C? No, don't answer that!!!

Monica Lewinsky was a young girl when all that happened. The shaming was one of the most horrendous in history. Yes, she made a mistake. It was a dumb thing to do, but what 20 something person is always thinking clearly? Especially, when surrounded by such famous people? Everyone made fun of her. I think David Letterman has even regretted attacking her like they did. She was treated like it was all her fault. Every detail of her escapades was down loaded and replayed. Over and over.
I think she has said, she tried to do a normal life. As soon as someone finds out who she is, everything changes. I think she has a very high IQ, and did get a law degree and studied journalism, but nothing would pan out. I think she has said she suffered from a sort of panic disorder from the event.

She was much younger then and infatuated with a man who just happened to be president, who certainly did his part in encouraging her. Because it was so high profile, of course it was all everyone talked about, judging and chastising all the way. It never was for me or anyone to judge her,and he got off and she got the short end of the stick. I wish her well and that she finds happiness. She would be good on the View.

She was an adult, knew right from wrong, and freely chose to have an affair with a married man. I don't know why anyone views her as a victim, or why she deserves any sympathy.
She uses her "celebrity" when it suits her, and plays victim when it bothers her.

Gosh, she was a stupid kid, awestruck by the attentions of a charismatic & powerful man. Can't we give her a break & just let her get on with her life? He certainly has.

For Monica Lewinsky, the public shaming eventually consumed her life. She was bound by a transactional immunity agreement from speaking about the specifics of the scandal. Nevertheless, Lewinsky made a number of public appearances immediately after the scandal, garnering hundreds of thousands of dollars, which were reportedly eaten up by high legal costs.
Finding that she couldn’t escape her past, Monica Lewinsky disappeared from the public eye for a decade by pursuing a Masters Degree in Social Psychology at the London School of Economics.
Aside from an essay in Vanity Fair, the TED talk is Lewinsky’s first time back in the limelight since her ordeal.
According to the New York Times, Lewinsky was “in black slacks and a navy button-down. She was confident and poised. She looked like herself, only… different.”
Why did she choose to come back now?
Lewinsky answered, “because it’s time. Time to stop tiptoeing around my past… Time to take back my narrative.”
After going through the personal battle she faced, Lewinsky called for a more passionate Internet, one without the trolls.
But Monica Lewinsky also reminded the audience that no matter how bad it gets, there is a life after public humiliation.
“Anyone who is suffering from shame and public humiliation needs to know one thing: you can survive it. I know it’s hard. It may not be painless, quick or easy, but you can insist on a different ending to your story.”
Monica Lewinsky’s full TED talk could come out as early as tomorrow, until then here’s a brief clip.

Wow, was that really necessary?
Lighten up and have a sense of humor. What IS unnecessary is you calling me out on it.
Have a good day.

Umm, in 1992 she began a five year affair with her married former high school drama instructor. Anyone see a pattern here?
Personally, I don't give a fig about her or her choices. Not many of us are without faults in our past. We just don't whine about them for twenty years. We move on.

I don't get the feeling that she's 'playing the victim' at all, like some of you are accusing. She disappeared for 10 years for cryin' out loud, isn't that enough? Now she's trying to get on with her life and make a living for herself. Good for her.
