Be a patient person but, most of all, be patient with yourself. Lord, may
I be blessed with a calm spirit and diligence as I do my work today.
Scripture for the day:
"Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus
Christ. Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always
excelling in the work of the Lord, because you know that in the Lord
your labor is not in vain." ~1 Corinthians 15:57-58
Meditation for the day:
Without God, no real victory is ever won. All the military victories
of great conquerors have passed into history. The world might be
better off without military conquerors. The real victories are won in
the spiritual realm. "He that conquers himself is greater than he who
conquers a city." The real victories are victories over sin and
temptation, leading to a victorious and abundant life. Therefore, we
can keep a brave and trusting heart. We can face all our difficulties
in the spirit of conquest. We can remember that where God is, there
is the true victory.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that the forces of evil in my life will flee before God's
presence. I pray that with God I will win the real victory over
myself.
Hello my friends! Let's keep our prayers going that corporate will fix the
problem once and for all and we can continue as usual. Today's blessings
was listening to Relevant Radio for awhile today, getting more spiritually
fulfilled, and a nap - and Mass tonight. Blessings are coming that he will
be getting Sunday mornings off so we can go to our own Parish. Another
blessing is that the medicine we're giving Sammy makes Sammy act like normal
again, full of love and affection and wanted to play with his toy again.
Nothing wrong with his appetite - he likes our chicken! Dog food doesn't
get eaten much - he really doesn't eat that much. He's 11 pounds. Please,
people, come back to the thread!! I cannot help it, but Juanita is doing
her best in getting it out for us all. I'm so glad we have a system going
here to get it out even if I cannot. Please come and post your blessings -
even blessings that you usually take for granted - God gave them to you. DH
has a rough week ahead - many hours, please keep him in prayer! Praying for
you all, and thanks much for your prayers for us.

My Prayer For You
May the good Lord bless
And keep you
Each hour of every day,
And be the light that guides you
Each step along life´s way.
May He comfort and sustain you
When things perplex your mind,
May He be your inspiration
Your lofty goals to find.
May He be with you in spirit
And help your burdens bear,
May He ever find you worthy
Of His tender love and care.

Jesus Is Wonderful
Jesus is wonderful,
He is so good,
He's done everything
that he said he would!
He's kept every promise
that he ever made
And for our sins
on the cross, he paid!
Our Jesus is loving
so gentle and kind;
There is no other like him
that we'll ever find!
To him be all honor
and to him be the glory;
All praise to His name,
for He is our song and
our story!
Oh what a wonderful Lord and
Savior is He!
That He would die for us that
we might be free!
Let us praise and magnify His
Holy name!
Our heavenly Father who for
our sins was slain!

These thoughts for a day are taken from a daily meditation book based on the
Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje by Father Richard J. Beyer, Ave Maria
Press.
GIVE TIME TO THE ROSARY
Our Lady speaks of a favorite subject today:
I urge you to ask everyone to pray the rosary, With the rosary you will
overcome all the troubles which Satan is trying to inflict on the Catholic
Church. Let all priests pray the rosary. Give time to the rosary (Special
Message June 25, 1985).
St. Paul also speaks of prayer in his letter to the Romans:
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray
as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.
And God, who searches hearts, knows what the Spirit is saying, for the
Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God (Rom 8:26-27).
Reflection:
Fr. Albert Shamon tells a unique story of the rosary, revolving around Dr.
Carlos Finlay, the Cuban physician who discovered that yellow fever and
malaria were carried by the mosquito. Returning home one night, exhausted
after a long day's work, he remembered that he had not yet said his rosary,
which was a daily devotion for him. So he began to pray, sleepy through he
was, but he was distracted by a buzzing mosquito flying persistently around
his head.
At that moment, as if inspired by the Virgin, the idea occurred to him that
it May be the mosquito which transmits yellow fever and malaria. He began to
experiment with this theory and proved that it was indeed correct ending a
century of research into the cause of these dreaded diseases.
Application:
Today, simply take the advice of Our Lady to heart:
"I urge you to ask everyone to pray the rosary. Give time to the rosary".
Today is the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary:
Our Lady of the Rosary
Heavenly King, praying the Rosary holds more power than I can imagine. It
often saved Christian Europe from Muslim invaders. The Blessed Mother taught
three children in Fatima that the Rosary obtains special graces for us,
saves sinners from He*ll, and protects us from evil spirits. I ask Our Lady
to accept my prayers into her Immaculate Heart, multiply their power through
the greatness of her love, and then carry Your help to those in need. O
Jesus, as I turn to Your Mother for support in prayer, bind us to the golden
chain of her most holy Rosary, trusting that she will take care of our
souls. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Amen.
