Through the power of God within me, I am stronger than any of my
circumstances.
Lord, I seek, I knock and I ask and You are always there and ready to give
me
the miracles that I need.

Scripture for the day:

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
~Psalm 119:105

Meditation for the day:

I know that the vision and power which I can receive from God are
limitless as far as spiritual things are concerned. But in temporal
and material things, I must submit to limitations. I know that I cannot
see the road ahead. I can go just one step at a time, because I do not
have a longer view. I am sometimes in uncharted waters, limited by
my temporal and spatial life, but unlimited in my spiritual life.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that, in spite of my material limitations, I may follow God's
way. I pray that I may learn that trying to do God's will is perfect
freedom.

Hello my friends! Today was a laid back day for me - he had to work, I had
such a bad headache that I finally took 3 ibuprofens and that helped, so we
went to Mass at the Cathedral and here Father Jerry is the having the Mass!
Got a chance for a hug and little visit before Mass - and invited him over
for Friday afternoon and supper. Said it's about time he gets here again!
Such a nice, prayerful Mass, and he's a great homilist, too! Lori invited
us to come for supper after Mass so we did, she made rotisserie chicken on
the grill and potatoes, diced, and with veggie in it on the grill with
aluminum foil - everything was great! She's a great cook! We just sat and
visited for awhile and went home. I'd like to ask you for prayers for
Linus' brother, Ron, who always comes to help with building projects etc.
etc. We just found out that he's in ICU at the hospital now, a stroke is
ruled out, blood clot is ruled out, so he's getting more tests tonight.
Please pray for his good health to return. He was no no meds. He's 3 years
younger than Linus - which makes him 70 and otherwise in great health.
Praying for all of your intentions and thanks for your prayers for us.

THE POWER OF GOD

Have you ever been down and out and nobody seems to be around for you to
talk to...THAT'S GOD...he wants you to talk to him.

Have you ever been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel like
doing something nice for someone you care for...THAT'S GOD...he talks to you
through the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever been thinking about somebody that you haven't seen in a long
time and then next thing you know you see them or receive a phone call from
them...THAT'S GOD...there is no such thing as "coincidence."

Have you ever received something wonderful that you didn't even ask for,
like money in the mail, a debt that had mysteriously been cleared, or a
coupon to a department store where you had just seen something you wanted,
but couldn't afford...THAT'S GOD...he knows the desires of your heart...

Have you ever been in a situation and you had no clue how it is going to get
better, but now you look back on it...THAT'S GOD... he passes us through
tribulation to see a brighter day...

The Interview with God
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I dreamed I had an interview with God.
“So you would like to interview me?” God asked.
“If you have the time” I said.
God smiled. “My time is eternity.”
“What questions do you have in mind for me?”
“What surprises you most about humankind?”
God answered...
“That they get bored with childhood,
they rush to grow up, and then
long to be children again.”
“That they lose their health to make money...
and then lose their money to restore their health.”
“That by thinking anxiously about the future,
they forget the present,
such that they live in neither
the present nor the future."
"That they live as if they will never die,
and die as though they had never lived.”
God’s hand took mine
and we were silent for a while.
And then I asked...
“As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons
you want your children to learn?”
“To learn they cannot make anyone love them.
All they can do is let themselves be loved.”
“To learn that it is not good
to compare themselves to others.”
“To learn to forgive
by practicing forgiveness.”
“To learn that it only takes a few seconds
to open profound wounds in those they love,
and it can take many years to heal them.”
“To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most,
but is one who needs the least.”
“To learn that there are people
who love them dearly,
but simply have not yet learned
how to express or show their feelings.”
“To learn that two people can look at the same thing
and see it differently.”
“To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another,
but they must also forgive themselves.”
"Thank you for your time," I said humbly.
"Is there anything else you would like your children to know?"
God smiled and said,
“Just know that I am here... always.”
Dear Lord,
Help me to be a true disciple
who follows Your way and Your teachings.
It's so easy to be tempted and led astray.
Through the love and strength of your Holy Spirit,
may I stay on the path that leads to Your Heavenly Kingdom.
Amen
I BELIEVE
Author Unknown
I believe in Miracles and dreams that will come true,
And I believe in happiness And friendship, through and through
I believe that when you cry your tears are not in vain,
And when you're sad and lonely someone knows that you're in pain.
I believe that when we laugh a sparkle starts to shine,
And before you know these sparks will spread
From more hearts than just mine.
I believe the gifts you have are there for you to share
And when you give them from the heart, the whole world knows you care.
I believe that if you give, even just to one,
That gift will grow in magnitude before the day is done.
I believe that comfort comes from giving part of me,
And if I share with others, there's more for all so see.
I believe that love is still the greatest gift of all,
And when it's given from the heart, Love will conquer all.
Lord, Teach Me The Art Of Patience
By Thomas Fuller
Lord, teach me the art of patience whilst I am well,
and give me the use of it when I am sick.
In that day either lighten my burden or strengthen my back.
Make me, who so often in my health have discovered my weakness
presuming on my own strength,
to be strong in my sickness when I solely rely on thy assistance.
Teachings
of
Blessed Mother Teresa
Joy is a net of love by which we catch souls.
God speaks in the silence of the heart, and we listen. And then we speak to
God from the fullness of our heart, and God listens. And this listening and
this speaking is what prayer is meant to be.
Be humble and you will never be disturbed. It is very difficult in practice
because we all want to see the result of our work. Leave it to Jesus.
We can do no great things; only small things with great love.
It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you
wish."
