@SahmIam I'm totally Dark Side I agree with you 100% I think it would be odd if he's not part of it.

The news here said the 8 year old son and the baby had been “reunited with the family”....surely it was the grandmother...and not the “ fiancé. Not sure he is the 8 year old’s father.
@lovesrecess Everything I've read said the children belonged to the fiance. I also saw the the fiance came home at 4:30 in the afternoon and reported her missing at 7:30. That's not a long time to wait. The woman was found in her friend's trunk. It doesn't sound like the fiance is involved.

The whole thing is obvious. The friend wanted a baby, either miscarried her's or, more likely, faked her pregnancy and planned early on to take her friend's baby. The baby's father had nothing to do with it.
Those who want to believe he's involved seem to have something against men and come up with pie in the sky scenarios to implicate him.

There was a case like this that happened here locally, 25 years or more ago. I superficially knew the woman who did it, she having married a guy that I had dated, years past. They had divorced and she was with another husband when this happened.
She had made up a story of being pregnant. I had seen her, in the mall where I worked, and she already had 3 children of her own, and danged if she did not look genuinely pregnant.
But, she had previously told her now husband that she had had a tubal ligation. I believe he is the one who turned her in, when she asked him to help her hide the body. She is still in prison and he never got any time.
This was the first time I had heard of case like this. It was so shocking, it made national news and an episode of Hard Copy.
If you think about it, I think it is actually rare that a man wants to steal a baby. They may have been having an affair, but the baby stealing seems to be a strictly female behavior.

Friends say that the defendant was in regular contact with other mutual friends (and maybe the murdered woman's mother?) up untll her arrest. Apparently, she was a good actress.

@occasionalrain Nope don't hate men at all. In fact, I'm usually the first one to side-eye the chick when it comes to women complaining about their men.
You can't dispute the fact that the majority of cases turn out to be the husband/boyfriend (currant or ex) when it comes to a woman missing/killed; it ups when a child is involved. You also can't overlook the fact the recently there has been another woman involved in some capacity in these cases.
I also agree with you regarding women who have lost a child going after someone who is close to term or who has just had a baby; we now hear about the gruesome murders but in the past, it was about someone posing as a nurse at a hospital or someone "nice" offering to hold the baby while the new mom deals with something. These cases have been in the news often as well.
Until the case is solved, everything we all say is simply speculation. But I don't believe anyone involved in cases such as these doesn't think of every possibility no matter what; otherwise, they're not doing their job.

There is an article on Heavy.com
One paragraph in the article stood out to me.
Shane Carey, the father of Margot and Broussard’s , told CBS Austin that he last spoke to Broussard around 8 a.m. on December 12. Carey said that he returned home from work around 2 p.m. and found that Broussard and his daughter were not there. Police do not believe that he was involved in the alleged plot involving Fieramusca.
And the police AND FBI are not stupid. They can spot liars a mile away.
So, if these trained people don't think that he was involved, then that is good enough for me, and I'll believe them over armchair detectives who watch too many crime shows any day.
Also in the article:
Broussard’s son was born in July 2013, according to her Facebook page. She and Shane Carey met in 2009 and they have been engaged since 2012, after he proposed to her in November of that year, Broussard said on Facebook.
So Shane wasn't just some random "baby daddy", they were in a real relationship, engaged to be MARRIED. Not everyone is in a rush to the alter. Every couple's relationship and time-frame to do things is different. This aint the 1940's any more, where a couple meets, gets engaged and married all within 1 - 2 years.
These are the modern times where, believe it or not, not every couple is in a big rush to tie the knot, but for all intents and purposes, are "married".
In fact, there are posters on this very board, who are in such relationships.

I don't think the fiance had anything to do with it. I won't know though until all of the facts come out. And, I am sure there is a lot more to learn here.
