@dex wrote:@Sooner Funny that you mentioned hair as mine behaved very badly the whole visit.I was out many places and everyone else had much better control...going to have to get tips for next time.
LOL!! At college orientation they say you can tell the freshmen because they are the ones combing their hair. By the second semester they've given up like everyone else. That thing about "wind whipping down the plain" is TRUE!!!! LOL!!!
55-gallon-drum of mega hairspray?

70s here in the South for about the next 7 days, we deserve it we were socked in all weekend with snow on top of sleet.
It may confuse the plants & flowers & trees, something will bud out then we'll get at least one more freeze before Spring.

O K L A H O M A! Where the Wind Comes Sweeping Down the Plains!
How's the weather in your neck of the woods???
(Can you imagine the insurance claims maybe for ice damage AND hail--one after the other?)

I miss winter too. I enjoy the snow and wearing boots and sweaters and spending snuggly nights by the fireplace. I really dislike 70 degree days in January, there's just something unnatural about that.

I'm in Ohio. Last week it was below zero with the wind chill. Tuesday we got freezing rain in the morning then it warmed up to near 40 in the afternoon. By Tuesday night into Wednesday, we had 60 mph wind gusts. Lots of power outages, tree branches down and a general mess of stuff blown everywhere.
Yesterday it was 54 and by yesterday evening it started to pour rain. We started off this morning at 58 but the temps have already dropped and by the time I leave work, the temps are supposed to be down into the upper 30's. It's raining and it's very windy again.
Tomorrow the temps are supposed to be back into the 20's and next week, it's supposed to warm up again for a few days.
This winter was predicted to be very cold and snowy in my area. Not sure when that is supposed to hit because we've had very little snow.

We've had the exact same weather patterns.
We had freezing rain warnings last night into this morning. It never really amounted to much, thankfully. There is a light dusting of snow on the ground.
The wind the other day was awful. It made such a mess outside. It happened to be garbage night and there was garbage blown all over the place.
We've really only had one big snow so far. We still have a ways to go...
