TaxyLady, you say you don't care what he does as long as he preaches the gospel. I have never heard the man so I don't know what his teachings are; however, I feel certain that the gospel will go forth regardless of whether this man gets a jet or not.
I DO CARE what someone I donate money to does with it; that's where I am different, because when I give to a ministry, I expect the money to be used to preaching the gospel, not spent on luxury items like a new jet.
I really don't understand why anyone would think this is acceptable.
If he needs to travel let him buy plane tickets like everyone else.
This is ridiculous, and he should be ashamed of himself, IMHO.
ETA: The "prosperity teaching" is wrong, wrong, wrong....if that is what he is promoting then he isn't preaching the gospel.

It's not OK for any of them, especially those who bill themselves as prosperity preachers.
Interesting, I see it as simply a business decision. People who tithe to these organizations also have a choice to list how or where they want their money to be spent.
You're right, they do. Tithing doesn't have to go to a church. It means to give to the poor or the sick, or those in need any way. Many charities qualify.

OMG. I will try to say this without sounding condescending and if I do happen to offend anyone, I do apologize. I can't believe there are people stupid enough to give a cent to this charlatan. I am an atheist and I respect all religions and giving to religions and despite being an atheist I give regularly to churches that do great outreach but this mans only God is himself.
Taxylady, weren't you the poster here that once said no one would be sick if they had true faith in God? If I am mistaking you for someone else forgive me.
I actually don't think preachers or men of God do have to live in poverty but this man is the 2015 version of Jim Baker. I am sorry but you do not need a $60 million G6 to spread the ministry.

That's all I'm going to argue about here.
I rest my case. Your above statement speaks the kind of gospel you have been listening too. That is why we need men like Creflo Dollar.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. Are you saying that no one but Christians who believe in the 'correct gospel' will go to heaven? Is that what Creflo Dollar preaches? Do you (or Creflo) believe that non-Christians do not go to heaven? I'm not sure what you mean to say. Please explain.
Yes, that's what she believes. It is a literal interpretation of the NT.
Not all Christians believe that.

There's something you and I agree on

That sounds like it came from an SNL skit.

Apparently his web page appeal went so viral so quickly and gathered so many public scathing responses that it was removed right after that. So those who want to fund the jet will just have to do it with direct donations to someone's bank account. But I'd guess that would be acceptable ;-(

His name is Michael Smith, not Creflo Dollar. I think his made up name says it all.

I know that not all Christians believe it, don't worry Noel ;-)
But I do suspect Taxy believes it. I just want to see her respond.
