Mini Keurig question.....6,8,10 ounce size

Thinking about getting one of the small Keurigs for our motor home, but would like to know the following first. 1) does the cup "plate" get hot.....or can a paper or a styrofoam cup be set on it while it fills? 2) do the regular k-cups work in the mini version, and if so, are they good for several brewings? 3) are the hot chocolate and other style drinks good? Any hit of coffee in them left over from the brewing process? 4) does the separate basket which you can fill you own coffee fit the mini version? Thanks for your advice. Demitra

If you get one, don't forget to descale every few months. Read the directions for this. The milk chocolate K-cups are pretty good. I don't use K-cups anymore. Love the My K Cup. Make my own coffee as it is much cheaper.

You also might want to know that a 6oz. cup is stronger than an 8oz. cup, and the 10 oz. cup is weakest. Basic math I know, but I didn't get it until someone told me. ENJOY!

Re: Mini Keurig question.....6,8,10 ounce size

I just got the Mr.Coffee/Keurig one cup brewer for Christmas and it has both 6 oz. and 10 oz. sizing. Some of our K-cups are really strong and when this is the case I run the 10 oz. through, then reset and run the 6 oz. using the same K-cup. I use a measuring cup when I do this and then pour into two cups. For me and DH it is just the right strength.

The plate does not get hot. You can also remove the plate if you're using a large container.
