Re: Milk Class Action Lawsuit

Anyone can claim they bought milk and get money.  How will they prove who did and who didn't?  We bought milk and we aren't going to try to prove it

I would much rather  a flat sum was donated to  charity

Re: Milk Class Action Lawsuit

The only thing that would hit a spot with me would be if they were putting 'use by' dates on that are bad.   That would freak me out because I'm so squeamish about milk (gack).

When I do purchase some, I get the best date I can so that I can - well, first not be as grossed out by it, but also try to find ways to use as much as I can before tossing the rest.  I hate waste.  Smiley Happy

People always say to smell it to make sure it's good. Well, I'm here to tell ya that brand new milk smells gross to me.   I just go by the date on the shoulder of the container.   If it gets anywhere near the date I am out.  I cannot use it if it's 2-3 days from the date.

The odd thing, however, and why this came to mind, is that I've been seeing milk with like 15 days on it.  I remember a time when I got lucky to see 10 days on one.

Well I am getting in on the law suit.

They promised me coookies with my milk and when I got home there were none in the bag!

That is unforgiveable.Smiley Frustrated

@cherryYou don't have to prove anything. It comes with anything in our lives, being honest.

These dairy farmers prematurely slaughtering cows, illegally causing the price of milk and other milk products to artificially inflate.

Now if that is fine with you and anyone else then so be it.

This greed and cruelty to animals is a terrible situation and they now have to pay for it.

I don't understand all the negative comments about this topic. I'm not trying to get anyone to do anything but read about it.

I didn't think my opinion was  a negative view of your article.

It is my opinon. Perhaps it's not one you agree with, but ,I don't think  people lying, and they will, about buying a product, makes them any different than the farmers

Re: Milk Class Action Lawsuit

I live in the dairy state, Wisconsin, and I have not heard one thing about this on our news. Farmers aren't doing the overcharging. If anyone is, it is the middle man.

Re: Milk Class Action Lawsuit

Dairy producers deliberately slaughtered over 500,000 cows to limit the supply of raw milk which drove up dairy prices.

This is the judgment in the class action lawsuit.

Re: Milk Class Action Lawsuit

The people who ordered the needless killing should go to prison.  For that alone.

I don't understand how these class action suits, I can't tell you how many times we've been notified we're *part* of a class action suit and more to follow.....

Nothing ever follows, so does that mean that most people don't get any more info on how to follow the suit all the way through?  And then the people who do manage, collect a lot more money?  Never understood class action suits....

I think families in these states should get money back.  Most people, even if they are pay check to pay check still donate to charities, no need for all the money go to charity.  jmho.

Re: Milk Class Action Lawsuit

@Leery. There are 15 states involved in this lawsuit and Wisconsin is one of them.
