I think he's doing the right thing.  Kudos to him and prayers for his family.

I also think a alot of old singers should pack it in when their voice goes, but hey, if people want to listen to them have after it.

@Sooner Isn't that the truth...

I believe he took a break when wee Noah was first diagnosed and going through treatment.

It would be nice if folks could just wish the family well instead of picking at him-be it about his $$, or whether he is serious just because there is a FB page about his new recording.  He earned his $$ in a way that brought a lot of pleasure to people around the world by recognizing and using his talent.  Nothing wrong with that.

He also gives his time to cancer venues.

Let this family be the way they feel is best for them.  All that matters is that this has not torn them apart; they remain a strong and loving family.

@Cakers3

Well said!

I'd have to disagree... I didn't note anybody 'picking at him'... He's a wonderful talent and seems to be fully dedicated to his family... Questioning the veracity of tabloid journalism is a whole other matter...

I wish him and his family the very best, but I have never liked his music.

Quoting a tabloid and posting what they said as gospel is always dangerous because unthruths are spread.  He and his management insists he has not retired.  His album drops next month.

He will only retire for a short time. (or whatever time that is)

This feels like a promotional scam.

Yes, the story about his son is heart tugging, but I feel this

‘I’m leaving....so better buy my record!’ Drama Queen bit is the

definition of ‘celebrity narcissism’...the one thing he can’t ‘stomach’ anymore.   Dude...just.leave.

He is extremely popular. I don't think he needs to scam anyone to sell his recordings...

Re: Michael Buble retires from the Music Biz

And then there’s this....not retiring.

Back forth back forth.

Many artists before him have done the exact same thing..

and many artist after him will probably do the exact same thing.

He’s just creating a buzz about his new album releasing in November.

His child was diagnosed 2 yrs ago. All the ‘putting career before family’

bit would resonate truer if he wasn’t spending the last 2 yrs

on TV specials, on tour & in a studio making albums.

I have a feeling we will see him on a future World Tour promoting

another album for another sick family member. Pitiful celebrities

have to resort to drastic measures like using your child like that

to sell an album. #LikeHisMusicButLostRespect

I certainly haven't lost respect for him. No one knows what something like this does to a person, if they haven't had to go through it themselves..Post traumatic stress is real

Nor do I @cherry. The very thought is outright unforgivable and then actually posting it? No words.

You know sometimes I read things on this forum that make my blood boil and frankly make me sick to my stomach.

Claiming that this is some kind of a scam when the man has a child who has been suffering from cancer is despicable. Maybe if you have no children and can't fathom the kind of love a parent has for their child? Then again maybe not because I know many people with no children who have empathy for a family in crisis.

Simply inexcusable.
