Mice getting in your outdoor grill?

Does anyone have this problem, and if so, have you found a way to keep them out?

What type of outdoor grill do you have?

Re: Mice getting in your outdoor grill?

My husband lit the grill, I was standing there and out comes a mother mouse carrying a baby trying to get it out of the heat.  I just about went hysterical when I saw that.  DH hurried and turned the grill off.

It's best to check it out frequently.  I never want to see that again.  I lost my appetite and we had the steaks later and I pan fried them on my stove.

Re: Mice getting in your outdoor grill?

No mice but we have had birds build nests and lay eggs the last 3 or 4 years.  The eggs hatch and eventually the babies fly away.  We don't use the grill until they leave.
