I dont think she retired as she has stated. I think she left or risked being let go anyway since the channel is streaming only now. She is 58 I think and will probably land somewhere else or do something else. Her husband is a buyer of jewlery there not sure if he has left or not. They have a huge house in Minnsota they bought a couple of years ago and renovated she talked about what a tough time they had selling the old house they moved out of, maybe they will make the new house a "B&B". I liked her but hated the SHOP HQ channel as a whole.

I think she left or risked being let go since the channel is cutting back on everything. I liked her but hated the SHOP HQ channel. I am sure she will land somewhere else.

@debmmm, I know at one time, during COVID, as I recall, Melissa’s husband lost his job and was out of work for a while. He was eventually hired by ShopHQ, which was a relief, I’m sure. Then they spent all that money on a new home, after becoming empty nesters.

I wonder when SHQ will go off the air? Our local cable channel dropped them, but they were quickly picked up by another and are still broadcasting. Their show schedule is posted through the next couple of months. I guess that means at some point the presentations will be online only, but they haven’t made any announcements. If Melissa and her husband are not “retiring” from SHQ, it doesn’t bode well for staying in MN and keeping their expensive home. I can’t imagine them moving or her working for another network. Not that she’s that old! I am much older and unfortunately I am still working full time.

She and Jorge presented many Waterford shows. Many years ago, it was New Years, she and Jorge were presenting Waterford, she was visibly drunk. Jorge tried to cover for her. Her husband was a producer.
