Is he still alive? I've had an argument with my sister recently; she swears up and down that he died about 2 years ago. I've searched all over and haven't found anything to indicate he's "beyond the veil". Does anyone knoe?

Your sister must have him confused with a different Mel Brooks. Maybe that guy is dead, but the famous Mel Brooks is still alive.

Yes he is very much alive and he is re-making the movie  Space Balls with Josh Gad.... Josh Gad was just on Jimmy Kimmel and talking about Mel Brooks and how he is still so funny...

There's an episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld going to Carl Reiner's place and they have dinner on TV table with Mel Brooks.

My book club loved his autobiography, All About Me: My Remarkable Life in Show Business.

I love the man through and through!  I also recommend the documentary about the Horn & Hardart Automats in which he plays a significant role.  It's available to stream on various platforms.
