Ironic how the drama with Meghan's dad has come full circle since this was posted, LOL.  He wasn't, he was, now he's not again.  Which sounds like a good thing.

Just what I was going to say. The Royals themselves have had dysfunction, and the history of British Royals through the ages is peppered with characters you would think had been made up by Hollywood writers. Just because they had the fortune to be born with some presumed elite bloodlines doesn't make them any better or any worse than those who don't claim that ancestry.

I bet those people were nowhere to be found when Meghan started out, before she became successful.  Since the stepbrother was 15 yrs old when Meghan was born, just when would they have become close?  Divorces, estrangements, jealousy, geography etc etc contribute to relatives never forming bonds.   It happens.

Personally, I have a cousin who grew up many hundreds of miles away and I've seen her only twice, both times when we were rather young.  In spite of efforts to find her, she is nowhere to be found ...   and too many people have died to get solid leads.

It’s really sad that there is so much family dysfunction. The hope is that Harry and Meghan can ignore the nonsense, devote themselves to what they deem important, and move on with their lives. Famous people seem to always have closet skeletons and naysayers who provide bad news to those paparazzi who want to present the worst. We Americans are not usually over involved with royal scandals. However, Meghan Markle IS an American so there is more interest, I think. We’ll see what evolves but meanwhile I wish them well.

Her family sounds like a piece of work definitely!!   Sure hope Harry is prepared for what he's getting into.  When you marry someone you do have to deal somewhat with there family.  I know you shouldn't judge someone on there family  alone,  but I've always found its a good indication of who they are .   Does anyone know,  are they planning to live in London or in the U.S.?    That would make a lot of difference as far as influence with her family.

@Kitty Galore, from what I read, and I hope it's true, they were going to continue living in a small cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace but have changed their minds.

Instead they are moving into an apartment in Kensington Palace next to William, Katherine and their family.  If true this is good news indeed.  The "apartments," BTW, are at over 20 rooms. 

We know how close the brothers are, and hopefully the women become quite close because I don't think either would be jealous or wish to exchange lives with the other. 

ETA:  It's true.  I just checked multiple sources.  Very good.  They lived there with their mum (and dad ugh) until she died.  Win/win/win/win.

I bet Mehgan will insist on palace living.  And all the hoopla that goes with it.  And a royal title.  Just a guess on my part.

From what I have read Harry loves Africa and would love to live there full time one day.  So that would not surprise me if they left England at some point in the future.

I don't think she's the one who insisted, and I love that the brothers will be living next door to one another.

I read she can never have a royal title.  Like Katherine she will be a Duchess (supposedly of Sussex) so it will be Duchess of Sussex as Katherine is Duchess of Cambridge.

Are you kidding me ,as much as i love the english people , the royal family is mixed up for generations in history,  too bad the queen did not let her sister mary the man she loved ,because he was divorced,  and they treated diana just awful, and i have no use for charles because of that.
