@GSPgirlwrote:I find it interesting that a super feminist woman would leave her high paying job to join a very sexist organization called the Royal Family. Thank you, I know I'm supposed to be impressed by her.............but I'm not.

She is already quite different. She has had a career and lived her own life.
Yes! Successful career charitable causes. Honestly don't understand tone of some comments. Such disdain for someone who has in her short life raised awareness of the plight of suffering. Giving of herself with time and money.

I've never been a fan of Princess Diana. I think she had substantial mental health issues. However, she was the start of a change in the sexist attitude toward royalty in England. I like Kate but I think she is a "go with the flow" kind of person. She won't be a person to make changes - Meghan might be.Harry & Meghan are modern and outspoken. Also, since every child William and Kate have puts Harry farther away from the crown - that leaves him much more latitude in his attitudes and behavior.

Yep, and now she is in love and wants to be with the man of her heart.

My understanding was that the creators of Suits were actually writing Meghan out, not that she up and quit.
Based on her relationship with Harry, they felt giving her an out with a storyline was better than waiting for her relationship with Harry to be a sealed deal; at that point they would have had to write a storyline that could have possibly ended her character with a more somber ending.
She also wasn't a main character so her storyline was expendable anyway.

She is an actress she can play any part .

I wish the couple the best but I have my doubts. I was impressed by some of the remarks Meghan made. She seems to be a bright, caring woman. Harry is also devoted to social justice. However, the confines of the monarchy seem to cause serious problems, especially for women, whose roles seem more circumscribed, although men’s lives are seriously constrained too. It’s fun to watch the romance proceed but I don’t envy any of them.

I wonder how the fabulous Queen, coronated in 1953, ever managed without #MeToo and #TimesUp.
Sorry, I'm not a Meghan fan. I find her disingenuous, and frankly, conniving. This ought to be interesting.LuluBelle2, you certainly have a right to your opinion, but I'm curious, what makes you think Meghan is disingenuous and conniving?
Maybe it is just a gut feeling LuluBelle2 has.

Well, if the royals are expected to be little more than glorified ribbon cutters who passively smile and wave at the crowds, seriously, what good are they? IMO, they should be a positive influence, showing the way for progress.
Over time, both Kate and Meghan will have a chance to be influential women of substance.
Example ..... Like her or not, when Diana held the hand of the AIDS patient, it did a lot to change attitudes around the world. The queen and her silly son could never have had that kind of influence. JMO
