That is a very personal decision based on an individuals situation.  Suggest finding someone locally that can help you with your decision rather than posting on a shopping channel message board.

Where do you go locally to find out those things? Who do you ask? I really have no idea but probably need to find out since we are headed there sooner rather than later. LOL!!!

You really need to talk to a specialist who handles this to know what is best for you.  Someone at your insurance company may be able to help you.  I know that the insurance company that I have my homeowners and car insurance with has a medicare specialist.

I think you need to talk to a specialist in your area, but you can first read about it on the Social Security website.  It really is individual and personal for everyone.

No one here can help you with this decision.  What is "best" for someone else would be a bad decision for you.    You will need to do your homework after speaking with a local Medicare specialist.

Regular Medicare is the best. Skip that advantage stuff. Regular Medicare is taken out of your  SS if your receiving checks.

If your not receiving checks they will bill you every 3 months.

Nothing wrong with asking . We have a place in our town called

Medicare Placement,  a company who just deals  strictly with Medicare and sells supplement and drug plan policies. Try to find somebody who deals just with Seniors  and their options.

I have regular  Medicare taken out of my SS right now  cost 134 a month

Mutual of Omaha Plan F think it's 120 a month they pick  up the 20%

that Medicare doesn't. Medicare pays 80% of approved bills.

Drug plans are not that expensive. Mine is 20 a month. Gov. doesn't care if you have a supplement, but, they require you have  a drug plan in place

I have found the Advantage plans to be the best option for me.  It’s individual.

@Mom in NY, take a list of your physicians, hospital  and medications to an insurance broker.

All depends on your situation health other insurance aand finanaces.  Many people go for the Advantage programs because of their low co pays etc.  It all sounds great but I must caution you that these programs are for profit.  As a nurse i have seen some bad situations.  I did home health for a while.  The patient and wife were in their 90s.  Also illiterate with vision and hearing problems.  Inssurance demanded that we had 2-3 visits to teach the wife to administer an IV antibiotic.  In this state a LPN is not allowed to do this.  But the 90 year wife was perfectly capable according to the insurance plan.  Do your research.
