Medicare Statement Question

My mother passed away 18 months ago. She had surgery six weeks before she died. As a result, she spent the last six weeks of her life in a nursing home.

Again today, I received a medicare statement of benefits for procedures done 18 months ago!

Does anyone know when those statements finally stop? Needless to say, it's quite stressful to have to "relive" events each time a statement arrives.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
