Re: Medicare Scam phone calls

And if Medicare wanted an update from us, they'd communicate by snail mail!

They also communicate by email, many posters here have registered with them online.

Re: Medicare Scam phone calls

Since everyone in the US should be familiar with the IRS calls by now, maybe this is replacing them.  What could Medicare possibly need to know that they haven't already asked?

Re: Medicare Scam phone calls

A little earlier I received a call from someone asking for me by my name......I asked who was calling.....this person asked someone else who was calling.....they said United Healthcare.......knew by this it was a scam call.  Told this individual that she (me) was not interested and hung up.......

Know better than to say the YES word.......

Did check out the number, and there have been 160+ calls reported for that number and they said it must be a scam call.

Re: Medicare Scam phone calls

I just stopped answering any phone number I do not recognize, or I put on the "Do Not Disturb" feature our phone company offers!

Re: Medicare Scam phone calls

Something like that makes me angry -- trying to take  advantage of senior citizens.  I hope they get caught.   I recently received an email from Social Security and I knew it was legitimate.  Medicare or SS will not call you unless you called them and gave your phone no.   Never give personal info. over the phone to anyone.  Cat Very Happy
