Medical Mutual Insurance/State of Ohio

Has anyone received a letter from their insurance company (Medical Mutual) about not being covered in the State of Ohio for 2017?...My dh and I both have Medical Mutual so I will be making a call in the morning to the insurance company to find out.

I live in Ohio and have MM through DH's employer.  We haven't rec'd any such letter and his employer hasn't said anything about an insurance change.

@Lipstickdiva

@Ohio St8

this is a part of the letter my friend received from her agent:

By now you have probably gotten a notice from Medical Mutual stating that they will not be offering health
insurance in your county beginning January1. While this is not welcome news, I am at least glad that they are
giving us ample advance notice, so we can take appropriate steps in obtaining new protection. So, what's
next?
First, it is important to note that your plan will stay in force to the end of the year. Second, for new plans
starting January 1 we will not be able to see rates and plan designs until November 1. This applies to plans
offered both on, and off, the exchanges.
There are many plans being offered, although fewer than in previous years. A common element to all of the
plans being offered in 2017 is that the network restrictions are more severe. Therefore, it is more important
than ever to make sure the physicians and hospitals you want to use are in network.
I think my plan is safe because it is a group plan, I am thinking it is Individual plans that are in being dropped, roughly 57 of the 88 counties are being cut.  I don't understand how/why they would not cover an entire state...what does one county have to do with another county as far as insurance coverage goes...I used to understand insurance, not any more!

I heard the same thing about United Health Care, anybody hear about that?  My pain management doctor is hoping that come January they will not have to deal with Obamacare plan anymore.  The year goes by so quickly, it seems like we just went through calling about health plans and here we are again.
