I agree with most of that @Spurt. I think the whole system needs an overhaul.

They should be against the law. We don't need that on TV.
We also don't need all the prescription drug ads on TV with all their numerous side effects. I don't watch commercials.
I fast forward, mute or leave the room when they come on.

They finally outlawed cigarette ads and it is interesting these can’t be made illegal. Could someone be befitting you think?

I HATE these commercials with a passion!!!!!!

Don't even get me started! These commercials are unethical, and should be illegal IMO.

I love these commercials. I’ve been writing down every drug that has a side effect of Lymphoma because I truly believe that the Lymphoma I had in a sinus gland was caused by a new blood thinner I was on for a year.

As much as I'm not crazy about viewing those ads, I'm grateful that our gov is enabling us to be aware of the possible side effects and possible dangers.
Better this than not knowing anything at all.
Often times, docs don't necessarily have the time to 'recite' all of the information. And
Sometimes patients don't read all of the information included in the prescription bag.
So, 'all in all' I do think that those TV ads are beneficial. We are more likely to ask questions at our doc's office, also saying that we watched the various information warnings and 'pros' and 'cons' on TV, etc., etc.

Sick of them.......no pun intended. If they spent all that money they spend on advertising toward reducing the prices, we wouldn't have to pay so much. They spend more time telling you about the side effects than they do about the advantages of taking the pill.
Then they say "if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, don't take them". Duh......how would you know???
And don't get me started on the lawyer ads............I just mute the TV now.

One of the most annoying things about these ads, apart from all the possible side effects, is that they use popular classic hits and turn them into jingles. And they're usually songs I like. The ad I keep seeing all the time is for Ozempic, a diabetes drug, and they use the 70's song Magic by Pilot. So now when I hear that song, the ad is what I think of. I think advertising companies need to go back to writing original jingles to sell their products.
