eta~ woops, I should have quoted #26

No need to apologize to me, I didn't see what happened. Just giving my take to the general tone of the board.

This place used to be so much fun- no bickering of a thread or complaining about juvenile graphics (using that as a known example)- which were on a graphic thread! What on earth has happened around here? Lord I'd actually laugh out loud, we'd have parties & back & forth over silly stuff but one person, one lone soul would come on board and complain- blah blah blah... Bullies don't like anyone's opinions but their own- well we all have them! Yet no civil conversations are allowed? I said earlier and I'll say it again, something strange is going on on this BB-- innocent selective posts and threads are poofed- do the ones that run this joint not understand humor? No wonder so many of us have left and don't post much anymore-

I have to agree....used to be a lot of fun with non-threatening, silly, entertaining, and downright goofy posts about anything from crockpot cooking to wearing moo-moo's to a party. Perhaps now, a new reflection on how much stress everyone is under. However, a sense of humor and laughter can so often be one of the best stress reducers. I rarely post anymore....there's enough stress just by watching the news. It used to be fun here!

I was kind of using your post as a springboard, addressing all, but thanks nunya. Smile

I've been posting here for 15 years and there has always been a lot of bickering. It used to be interrupted more often by shopping than it is these days.

Here it is today, the mother lode, the Klondike Gold Rush, and no one has posted a thing about it that I've seen.

I've bought two gifts and am perfectly happy.

I keep looking at the hoop earring offerings but haven't made a decision yet.

Lots of nice hoops, tansy. I am eyeing one for my sister, but it needs to be 3/4", which is what she likes. It's been quite a while since I could send her gold on her birthday.

seagal, Much less of the plating and finessing. The items are lightweight but real gold, 80% at least. Gold is back.

Beautiful gold and turquoise pieces. My weaknesses are jade, turquoise and pearls, and the turquoise is sleeping beauty. I love the opaque stones.

I have a lot of pieces from when prices were comparatively inexpensive but did get the line bracelet with turquoise as well today.

I think turquoise looks best when set in gold. And one simply doesn't see that--ever--in my local jewelry stores.

Ooops Burnsite, I deleted my post thinking maybe I should move along but thank you for this.

Thats gold news, less plating and stuffing! I am glad to hear gold is back, thats good news.

I am a white gold lover but I agree that turquiose is really very stunning in yellow gold. I first saw a friends ring years ago when she came back from Colorado and her ring was so stunning. You have good taste!
