That's an interesting question.......sometimes they mention it in their financial reports, sometimes they don't--- at one time it was apparel......with the inconsistent sizing I'm wondering if it is apparel but which brand......And some of the returns are the result of poor product demos or presentations---not all the facts are disclosed.....someone metioned the poor charge time for one of the portable vacuum cleaners that was not mentioned if you used a higher setting, or a tablet from Amazon that was not compatible with Google Play.....facts weren't disclosed so they returned the products...But I bet even the customers remembered the color choices from the demonstrations (sarcasm)....
But these days I think QVC makes money on the returns since they no longer refund the original shipping (unless it's QVC's error or product is defective) AND the customer has to pay $6.95 for the return label, or pay whatever the USPS charges to return it....so that can be a total of $10 a customer loses on clothing just to try it on.....For handbags the customer loses $11.95 on original shipping, plus $6.95 to return....that's $19.....Now how much it costs QVC to process the returns....that's an unknown....

I would hazard a guess that it's Susan Graver. She practically lives at QVC and her clothing is not that great.
Mally Beauty had filed for bankruptcy protection sometime this year or late last year.
I like Issac Mizrahi and Linea as far as clothing, that's it.
The s/h charges are crazy.
QVC doesn't offer coupons or special pricing on a category for days like HSN
Anyone else sick of IT cosmetics???
Um Logo? Price for the quality is not there.
It also appears that QVC doesn't try to reach out to diverse groups .

Hi @Spurt I agree about the S&H charges but I still wonder about returns in regard to quality issues and/or defective products. This can create big losses especially if QVC thought they woulld create lots of sales.

I rarely return a product, but does anyone remember the big promo on WEN's Lilac scent? I love the scent of lilacs, so I took the plunge, but when I received the product, any similarity between the real flower and this was only in someone's imagination. Back it went the next day.
As far as clothing, I wonder if SG's reign is over. I bought one blouse from her line recently and it was the first one in several years. I buy most of my clothing from other sites with better deals and it doesn't cost me $10 to try it on. Shoes...forget it.

there is a huge difference between returning a clothing item and returning a beauty product. the beauty product cannot be resold, but the clothing item can be resold on qvc.com, in their outlets, or sold in pallets to resellers.

@sunshine45 What if the clothing is made poorly and is not worth selling? I'm sure there have been products that could not go to the outlets and be resold.
What about electronics that are made mostly of plastic? Or other items that could cause a fire?
What about bedding that falls apart after one or two washes?
Those are just a few examples of items that cannot be resold but are basically thrown in the trash and any and all profits are gone.

And what about the food purchases----KC Steaks, Junior Cheesecakes, Cheryl's cookies, etc etc etc...those can't be resold either....And what about clothing where the zipper is broken, makeup stains won't come out where someone tried it on and returned, broken jewelry etc etc etc.....Yes, how about all of this stuff ....we will never know who or how much revenue was lost! .

i dont know who judges what is "poorly made" in the clothing lines because i have seen clothing with buttons missing, holes, hanging threads, marks, pilling, stains that are sold both at the outlets and on ebay via resellers that have purchased pallets from qvc. that is why the outlets have so many great deals and why you have to spend time looking through the racks.
not sure just how much of any of the other items you mentioned "go into the trash." if you go into an outlet store you will see chipped ceramic items, defective home goods, parts missing from items, holiday items that wont light up......it is all for sale at greatly reduced prices.
the beauty items though definitely cannot be resold.
