I have to say this in honor of DS - and DH - huge Star Wars  fans, and in sweet memory of my late brother whose birthday was today.  He was a fan too.

DS' second college roommate, and still close friend, was from NYC. One summer they went to an all-night marathon there. The theater showed all of the movies in chronological order.

Someone advised them to eat before, because the snacks would be expensive. So they went to an Olive Garden in the afternoon. After it ended in the morning the theater was hosting an event where people were coming dressed formally. They had an elaborate brunch set out, and the "Star Wars" attendees were invited at no charge! So DS was tired, but happy!   Smiley Wink

Re: May the 4th Be With You !!!

I remember taking my son to see the first Star Wars movie in the '70s.  After seeing it, I had no clue what it was about so he explained it to me in painful detail the whole way home.  I think he was about 9 years old.  I still don't know what was going on but enjoyed the special effects.

@beach-mom  Loved the first three movies! We saw "A New Hope" in King of Prussia, PA when it first came out. We were in line for candy at the hotel shop next door. There was a very tall man in front of us wearing a camel coat buying cigarettes. His deep voice grabbed our attention when he asked for "King Kool." We looked up and saw it was Chuck Berry! He was performing nearby. The next year we saw the same movie in 3 countries, including Germany. It doesn't translate well into German. Smiley LOL
