I have not updated lately on Dreams condition...wanted to let you all know she is still going like the energizer bunny LOL.

The knuckling and weakness in her left hind end has not improved, but she does better on prednisone. The pred. can be a double edged sword at times...it makes her so hungry all the time, so she is always underfoot. She does get up for her meals now (she would never miss one) eats out of her bowl in her spot. We do still bring her water at times because I worry about dehydration, but she gets up and helps herself too.

I decided last night to start looking into a wheel chair for her...she has such a zest for life, she is very alert, wants to truck around the whole yard, and misses her walks. I want to make her last days happy, and while she has earned the right to just laze around the house, it looks to me like she wants more. We are going to check them out this week, not sure if it will work, she may not like it, but I have to try.

She is giving us some major laughs, reminds me quite a bit of my father with alzheimers. Dad has for the last 3 years yelled at us to immediately remove his food when he is done eating with a loud "get that s--t out of here" LOL...Dream does much the same with water, she pants, we bring her the bowl and if not removed quick enough she will dump it over or scramble away, giving us the dirtiest of looks. The kids are now calling her Grandpa when she does that...
