Guess I had best get May started and since we had the April Showers, flowers are popping up everywhere. So be sure and stop by - we talk about any and everything - we just enjoy company. Do hope to see a lot of people this month - this thread started years and years ago and we have always had great visitors. While we have unfortunately lost many of our once continuing posters, we still have many out there we don't see any too much these days. Come on back and if you are a first time poster, please stop by also. We are a yakky group and everyone here is always welcoming.

We have our first big wildfire of the season and it is not nice. Way too near where I live but thankfully so far it has only burned one home - what a blessing. I live in Southern Cal. The filthy air and heavy smoke was horrible at my home yesterday and up through most of the night. I could hardly talk so it was a good thing only my critters and me are here. LOL. Winds are super heavy and it is H O T. Have noticed the winds the past few years are worse and worse and they play havoc on old coots like me who already have breathing problems. Do notice that this morning the air is much better so that means the wind directions have changed a bit - we shall see how this all progresses as the day also progresses. Our firefighters are the world's best and they will get that fire out as soon as possible. Unfortunately they have way too much practice out here.

Am leaving some cinnamon buns - it's ok to cheat once in a while - and some coffee. Still a tad cool so the coffee will work fine - in another one or two hours it will be hot however. Have a great day everyone.
