That's a choice he made when he first started abusing drugs.............

@AngelPuppy1 I've been saying this all along. There are some suspicious things surrounding his death. He was hinting at something on Instagram shortly before his death. I'm not buying the whole "foul play's been ruled out.'" There is a lot of power in Hollywood.
Google how many celebs have died in tubs, most associated with drugs.
@Ladybug724 ... Matthew was hinting at something on Instagram shortly before his death ??? What did he say?? I'm not on Instagram. ...but why would someone want him dead?
Apparently he had not posted anything in awhile, and then shortly before his death began posting the Batman signal several times. Also in his book he talked about how the Batman signal was a cry for help.
He also posted something rather odd: a picture of three cranberries, . This might have some significance because the lead singer of the Cranberries died in the tub from drowning due to intoxication, very similarly to how Matthew died.
I don't know who would want him dead honestly, but up until a few days before his death he was seemingly very positive and upbeat about the good direction his life was headed.

I'm not understanding your meaning here .... are you suggesting you think someone wanted him dead and there was a cover-up?

@ I don't know, I can't imagine why anyone would want to do any harm to him, but he was involved in drugs in Hollywood, so anything's possible I guess. Odd facts surrounding his death.

I'm surprised Matthew lasted as long as he did. He had been using by his own admission since he was 14 yrs old.
He was very fortunate that Hollywood never gave up on him and his talent and he continued to be a working actor despite of his addictions.

@Shawnie @He had a live in assistant that left to make a quick run to the grocery store. The assistant returned and found Matthew in the Jacuzzi part of the pool. @Tinkrbl44

Forgive me if I sound callous, but I have lost too many family members and friends to their own demons.
One thing I know for certain is addicts lie. When Matthew Perry was recently interviewed by Diane Sawyer talking about how he had turned the corner and was on a path to recovery, if he can help just one person, blah, blah, blah...I turned to my husband and said "he's still using". I think Matthew knew he was coming across as being less than truthful in his comments and to be honest he looked uncomfortable and disheveled.
So after his death when Matt LeBlanc said (paraphrasing) Matthew has now been set free from his demons, well that pretty much confirmed my opinion.
I do sincerely have compassion for the bereaved--Matthew's family, friends and of course his Friends family. May he forever rest in peace.

I honor those in the Military who are lost to us. Not some overpaid actor.

@77yangya wrote:Yes, a caretaker like Joan Crawford had. A lot of people that are financially comfortable have them. It's someone that's like a right hand man and watches over you. Not everyone has family. Even those with bucks. Look at Robin Williams. He was not poor. Just too wild but he must have been terribly unhappy. It's sad....
Robin Williams was not alone - he had a wife. Also he was suffering from a type of dementia with Parkinson's, which had not been made public at that point.
