Masterpiece Classics: Great Expectations

Asked about this over on the Electronics board but didn't get much response. Thought I'd check here.

Did anyone watch it last night? Wow, what a different approach from the usual Dickens treatment. I keep waiting for Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter to show up. Definitely has a Tim Burton look to it.

That said, I liked it. The scenery is amazingly dark and brooding and Gillian Anderson's Miss Haversham is spooky to say the least. A very interesting portrayal.

It's a 3 part adaptation. I can't wait for next week.
