I wanted to share my current ‘ear worm’ with everyone!

Walmart Yodeling Boy.

Heavens...I’m hearing yodeling 24/7! 

This kid is so cute & the yodeling is so unusual in this day/age.

His singing puts a smile on my face.  

Of course, the interweb has to trick it up.  

People have placed his singing over a disco backdrop,

a dupstep beat, electronic dance beats.  People are now

going to the kitchen section of a Walmart dressed in jeans,

white shirt & big boots & recording their interpretation of

Hank Williams’ “Lovesick Blues”.    

Man, it’s funny.

Mason Ramsey is an 11-year-old singer from Golconda, Illinois​. He came to prominence after a video of him yodeling in Walmart was uploaded online in early April 2018.

Biography

Mason and his grandpa Ernest Ramsey

Mason has been living with his grandparents, Ernest and Frances Ramsey since he was three weeks old. He has been singing since he was three-years-old.​ Mason's favorite artist in Hank Williams and has earned the "Little Hank" after his renditions of Williams' music. At the age of four, Mason  sang for Josh Turner at the Carson Center and the next year opened for Gene Watson.​ When he was six, Mason learned how to play guitar and at the age of seven he sang with Kenny Rogers on a Christmas TV show.

On March 24th, Ramsey sang Hank Williams' "Lovesick Blues"​ at a Walmart in Harrisburg, Illinois​. Ramsey has sung at the Walmart in the past.  A video of him was uploaded on YouTube on March 26th and went viral, with Walmart tweeting a clip of the video on April 2nd. A number of memes and remixes of Ramsey singing have been uploaded including an EDM remix.

He does a good job.I think he has the potential of becoming a  star, even if it is a regional one. I'm sure he will become a favorite in the country western genre

I really only like the kind of yodeling they do in Switzerland, it sounds a bit softer to me ,and  more melodious, than the type we do here

I love his singing, but I'd blow my brains out if I had to listen to that yodeling for more than a minute.LOL
