@Lipstickdiva Michigan has the same Mask Mandate although it does state that masks do not need to be worn exercising outdoors if you are able to maintain 6 feet. I believe our orders in Michigan are much more restrictive than Ohio as a whole (based on the number of people I know who have been going to Indiana and Ohio the past 6 months).
We need to reasonable understand and follow these orders as they do not require people to put on a mask everytime they walk outside of their homes.

The fear mongering is incredible. Most people who get the virus never end up in the hospital. People might as well just say what they really think of the people who won't follow their rules. I think it goes something like you deserve to be on a ventilator if you don't do what we say. The ventilator threat is so old and tired.

With the more dangerous variants coming along, I've become more chill. Over time the anti-science people will die and the science people will survive. I'm speaking in general terms.
I guess it is pitiful but we have some community members who are doomed due to their own behaviors.

So is the ‘I’ve got a right to do what ever I want, regardless‘ chant,
along with the if you don’t do what we do you are a Sheep 🐑 name calling - old, and childish.
I do what I think is best for me & mine.
No mask, no vaccines, you do you at a safe distance from me, no problem.

Now you are wishing people to die.....pathetic.

Or at least I hope not.
And those of us who are "paranoid", "living in a basement," maybe working everyday just have to try to stay away from all the self-righteous people who are so proud of living their lives in "freedom."
Just wait to see how we all will feel if we have to shut down again like Europe! Thanks people who value their "right" to do whatever the heck they want! So think about this for all of us ok?
But none of us, will ever convince the others here of how we feel. We are brick walls. "And never the twain shall meet."
It is really disheartening.
ITA .... If people feel it's such a major "imposition" to wear a stupid mask in stores ... well, then, don't go in stores. Have your food and anything else ordered online and delivered.
Go ahead and be "free" somewhere else. You may not want to wear a mask, but you DO NOT have the right to frighten others. It may seem extreme, but maybe if they spent the night in jail, they'd re-think what they are doing.
(My memory may be a little fuzzy on this, but wasn't the same whining that occurred when wearing seatbelts became mandatory?)

Hee, hee. Don't make me refer some of the posters to a reading for comprehension course.
I have nothing but compassion for anti-science people--from afar. Further, my thoughts have no power to make people sick--not that I know of.

When I take my daily walks, obviously when I go to the store, etc. I go to the hair dresser next week. I always ask my hair dresser to put on his mask correctly. (He won't cover his nose) I still won't go to the supermarket. I still use Instacart. Other then that I rarely go out, but when I do.....nobody is wearing a mask. When they walk their dogs, or just doing a walk....their face is bare. I feel like I'm the only one around that is actually wearing a mask.
That seems crazy to me. Those not wearing a mask stand out here.

@KarenQVC Hmmm. I don't think you really hope anyone is doomed. Most of the people you mention are not going to die because they're anti-science. They're going to either stay home or catch Covid, though. And that is the painful way America will lurch to herd immunity.
There will be people who avoid the drama and get back to our old lives by getting vaccinated. We will get a lot of benefits and we should enjoy them.
And there will be those who aggressively refuse vaccination as well as precautions, and go out and eventually catch Covid instead. Hopefully many of those people will be asymptomatic and NOT suffer. They are aware of the risk of death and long term debility and decided it is not likely for them. But if it happens, they know they made that decision. I think that at that point, they would regret it, but we can't stop people from doing things we think they could regret. They are quite sure they would not regret it.
If we have the two tracks, vaccinated people actively working toward herd immunity, and Covid courters not taking any precautions and accidentally working toward herd immunity, we will get there faster.
If variants become a problem, they will hit the Covid courters the hardest and they may change their behavior then. Some may choose to get vaccinated at that point. We will be fine. We'll just get a booster shot and keep it moving. We will be very privileged and in the top position. I think we should use that for good, not condemnation.
And all the cautious people with good intentions (like @haddon9 and others who are just waiting to make sure before getting vaccinated) will take good care just like they have all this time. It may be another year before they feel ready. I think it will be harder for them to stay safe when many precautions we have become used to are no longer required in most places. And particularly if more virulent variants make it harder for them to stay uninfected.
And the people who cannot get vaccinated for medical reasons and who cannot afford a bout with Covid will suffer the most. Completely unable to get back to normal and relying on the rest of us to protect them.
Regardless of anyone's decisions, or even provokation, I wish all of us the opposite of harm.
