Re: Marybeth Roe

[ Edited ]

After @Novemberbaby 's wonderful, caring endorsement of Mary Beth originally, which I agree with, the only way I could comprehend the two seemingly incongruous parts of the comment was, that @Novemberbaby has a loving penchant for Bobbleheads.   Otherwise, I scratched my head to understand.

(But, also I'm unfamiliar with @Novemberbaby)

I just find what OP posted really weird.  MBR reminds her of a bobble head doll?  What does that even mean?  Doesn't sound complimentary to me.

What you are seeing is the persona. Not who the host is in everyday real life. We have no idea what they are like. They are there to sell.

If a midwestern church girl is what appeals to you then MaryBeth’s persona embodies that.

Mary Beth is congenial and considerate

She may no longer be the epitome of the host that stands out

but Im sure after all the years she's out into it, she's leaving on her authentic self.

“Here’s the thing” about Mary Beth for me. She does seem like a nice person, someone I would like to be friends with. She describes the stuff  very well I think. But her presentations are a bit stale and boring in my opinion. That does not mean I want to see the dancing, singing, jumping around and hand pumping that other hosts do. There is a middle ground which so few of them can find.

@Puppy Lips   I agree with you ,  there should be a middle ground defiantly

@Puppy Lips @Kitty Galore   While I do understand what you are saying...I think it would be hard to relate to so many generations and one probably does that best with their own generation.  Maybe that's something to consider. I know that what entertains me does not exactly entertain my children or even the grandkids.

She announced on an Isaac show yesterday at the end ---because he said he was going to miss her and when was her last day.  She said 3/21.
