Re: Married at the courthouse?

Update:   There were about 30 people.  All the men wore jeans except 2 (khakis).  All the women wore jeans or leggings.

When I asked this question here, people couldn't believe I'd consider wearing jeans.  This is a rural farming community where people don't dress up like they do in the cities.  So my question wasn't so crazy after all!

Well, now I know!

Re: Married at the courthouse?

DH and I got married at the county court house and it took all of about 3 minutes.  It was just the two of us and we told no one we were doing it.

It was one of the hottest days of the summer back in 2005 and we wore casual pants and nice shirts.  DH was extremely ill at the time and while we had been together for 10 years prior, we decided to get married for the legalities (I have never regreted it).

We then went home and called our families and arranged a lovely dinner.

There is no hoopla at a courthouse and in fact, it's like a production line.
