Awesome video of a new release from Mariah for her "All I Want For Christmas Is You"
song!
Definitely worth watching!

I realize she made the song, "All I Want for Christmas Is You", but she's now dubbed as "Queen of Christmas"? I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I can think of many more female vocal singers who could/should, perhaps, hold that title.
@KingstonMom Not a criticism to your post at all, just an opinion about how/why she's referred to as Queen of Christmas.

I'm unsure of what "new release" means. If you mean a "re-release" then yes, I would agree. The song playing in the video is the original and same version we have been listening to since the 90s.
There are video shots of rehearsals and actual concert footage but the music playing over the video is the original recording.
also, @ciao_bella I think I read a year or two ago that she tried to copyright and own the title "Queen of Christmas" and was unsuccessful with that.
She was trying to prevent somebody else from using that moniker and the courts said it was too generic for anyone to "own".

Thank you @KingstonMom . I always enjoy listening to this fun song.

Please say it isn't so. I can't stand the original.

C'mon, "new release" isn't that hard to figure out, is it?
LOL and SMDH at the same time....geeze.
Looking for an argument where there isn't one much?

All I Want For Christmas For Is You was released in 1989 by Vince Vance and the Valients.

@KingstonMom Sorry! I wasn't trying to come for you! I was expecting a new maybe updated version that was just put out when I saw the term "new release".
When it was the same version we have always known I assumed she had "re-released" it. That's all I meant.
I've had several nice encounters with you on these boards and would certainly not want you to think I was being unfriendly towards you!

@KingstonMom I also thought the video was going to be a "new version." Nothing "new" about the song.
Listening to MC X-Mas album as I surf the web.

That's probably one of my least favorite Christmas songs.
