Hope to have Reubens for supper tonight. Got most of the fixings, need sauerkraut and cheese.

Re: March Bird's Nest - Welcome the first signs of Spring

Bird Mama, lucky you. We cannot wash a car in the driveway - even had a hard time now washing them. If I do, which is rare, I pull the car onto the lawn so the water is used there. Would be busted by the water cops if I was seen washing my car in the driveway. Actually have not done that since our last drought which was in the early 70s. Have to go to the car wash now and boy has that gotten pricey. Geesh.

Going to be a bit cooler today but still near 80 - I need to get in gear, like getting dressed. Will head up to Curves a bit after 7 this monring as it will not be as crowded as Monday and Wednesday. Those two days are a nightmare in the early morning since we have closed Curves people now joining us and that seems to be when it is most crowded. Yesterday I went at about quarter to 8 and it was fine. They do not come on Tuesdays so I should be ok this morning.

Filled the feeders yesterday and the birds were super happy. Some time today I need to go to Home Depot and hope the windmill will fit in my car - it finally came in. Took it about a month and had almost given up on it. Am hoping it will really help with the gophers - I know several people who have them and they do not have gopher problems at all - guess it is the vibration from them. Keep your fingers crossed I can get it into my car.

Have a great day everyone.

Another Owl Watcher photoshopped the two Great Horned Owlets this morning. Thought it was cute.

They will be flying pretty soon and then leave the nest. {#emotions_dlg.crying} {#emotions_dlg.thumbup} Mixed feelings, I love watching them and will miss them, but they can't stay in the nest forever just so I can see them. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} {#emotions_dlg.scared}

pretty green bird

What's everyone up to on this St. Patrick's Day?

possummink, the weather here is warmer but several days now have been very overcast. Things are blooming and pollen is taking over. I hope you get to go home to see all your pretty plants and trees.

mousiegirl, I love a beautiful garden. I miss that since we live in a flat in England.

Winifred, I had a high efficiency washer in our last home in Houston and I would say it was just o.k. I don't know what the fuss of high efficiency is.
