nah, make that 49 years.  Over the 1973-1974 winter, we stayed on DST all year around.

My daughter was born in January 1974 and  the time of birth on her certificate clearly  says 11:39 pm DST.

It was done because of the fuel shortage.

I love DST.

Guess you don't realize  I said for OVER 50 years. One year makes no difference. Smiley Happy

Oops.  No, I was so much in a hurry to say DST lasted all winter one year that I messed up. Man Happy

It's always the second Sunday in March.  Time just goes faster the older we get.

Actually it was expanded in 2007 by 4 weeks.  Three weeks earlier in the spring to the second Sundsy in March and extendinding it a week later in the fall.

Re: March 10 Daylight Savings Time is back

I can't wait!  I have noticed the days are getting longer.  It seems like the older I get the darkness of Winter bothers me more .....way more...than it used to.

No particular reason, but this Winter seems like it's been more dreary than usual.

I spend so much time trying to avoid the news it's downright crazy.

Sometimes I feel like my brain is turning to mush.  That's my Spring promise to me....I will volunteer more and once and for all TRY to get my back straight.

Yes, slowly but surely, we are inching toward spring.  It didn't seem fast to me.  The winter seemed pretty long to me and still have to get through March, which certainly is not Spring where I live.  Although, I did buy some sandals and crop pants this morning.
