In addition to the school shooting I just posted, I read last night about this. It happened a few miles from me in Ontario, CA. Video shows this man just roaming the aisles of a grocery store with a shotgun (I think) around 10 p.m. He didn't shoot anyone, but the police did arrive, and shot him. That is so scary.

That is scary!! You never know anymore what people will do. It seems to be getting worse each day. ![]()

I live in Florida and there are many people who carry concealed guns but not out in the open. That is scary.

Open carry is legal in 31 states. I'm not afraid of people that open carry at all. Criminals do not open carry, they conceal their weapons until they are ready to use them in their crime. Someone that just happens to be going about their business while open carrying isn't a threat to me.

People want open carry. This is what you get.

Open carry or concealed is OK by me. I am well trained.

IF I ever walked into a store, restaurant or any other place where the public gathers and saw anyone with a openly displayed weapon I would, leave the premises immediately.

I feel so much safer knowing this.
Thank goodness there are those willing to engage in a shooting match if necessary, at a grocery store.

It can be scary!
One time, years ago, I was on the freeway on my way home from work and right near the interchange of i80 and 395 I see this guy standing on the side of the freeway with an M-16. He could take out a LOT of people, because of the type of weapon (civilians should not have military assault weapons, but that's a whole other thing) and at a place that is super busy.
This was before cell phones, so I called the police as soon as I got home. They didn't seem to care one whit. I might as well have said that there was a chipmonk in the middle of the street.
My state is pretty backwards anyway, as you can have all kinds of assault weapons but that doesn't change the fact that it is very jarring to see a guy standing on the freeway with an M-16 at rush hour!

And yet nothing happened right? I notice you didn't post that any crime happened.
